Mustang Fastback Trio 1967 & 1968 Mattel Hot Wheels Redlines
The red 1967 Mattel Hot Wheels restored Mustang Fastback sits with a pair of unrestored originals. It seems to fit right it.
The red restored and olive green 1967 Mustang are both Made in Hong Kong and both with 1967 stamping. The 1968 green Mustang is Made in the USA and at first glance they all appear to be the same. DO YOU notice a difference? The USA and Hong Kong release are two different animals. The green USA has a longer body, different grille and different rear taillight section and show a lot less detail in the body and chassis compared to the Hong Kong Release. The interior of the USA car is also different and would not interchange. You can see all 3 have different interior combinations. Either way, they are pretty cool.
Mattel Hot Wheels 1967 / 1968 Camaro
Hot Wheels 1968 Camaro is stamped 1967 on the base and made in the USA. This is olive green and in excellent condition. I was wondering since it does not have vent windows it makes it a 1968, but none of the American cars made by Hot Wheels have vent windows so I wonder if they modeled this under the 1967 Camaro. The first gen Hot Wheels were introduced in 1968 but seem to be modeled after USA 1967 cars not 68, which for the most part are the same cars in the USA.
